Karin is my junior high school friend in Tarakanita Gading Serpong, after that we had no contact for years until this happy moment comes. Karin told me that she was getting married soon, she asked Lighthouse to take part of it.
Introduce our couple, Stanley+Karin, and they are so interesting. Because this time is so different, we photographed the real traditional Chinese procession. It's been a long time ago from the last time, more than 5 years ago. This time, we were able to witness it again. The tradition is inherited for many years in Stanley's family, every generation continually passes it to younger generation.
The procession is quite same with modern style, from bride and groom party had to do the same ritual; morning preparation. After that, they would meet each other, we call it "the welcoming". There was a little ceremony named "sawer", when the groom's parents throw away yellow rice with coins. Along the ceremony, there was a lady who gives instruction what else to do and she often talks loud about the prayer for bride and groom.
Stanley+Karin still had international style reception in evening, it was held in Balai Kartini.
If there is anyone interested to listen more about the stories, please don't hesitate to contact us.

We are back with traditional wedding again, let's introduce our couple, Shela+Marvin. It was quick, from the first day we talked about their wedding until we captured their happy day. It was our friend, Vina, who related us with Shella. Vina have known Shella for quiet long and had did her best to help prepare the wedding.
Initially we planned to meet Shela+Marvin before the wedding, but our schedule both didn't allow us to do so. We only talked on the phone, even in technical meeting we didn't see the couple, we only hoped we could build the chemistry. Good photos are not always about the photographer, but also the couple+chemistry.
Luckily, everything went well that day. We met Shela+Marvin early in the morning, the ice breaking conversation was smooth, the family looked energized and happy. We couldn't expect more. The morning "akad nikah" was held in Masjid Agung Sunda Kelapa and nite reception in Sultan Hotel. At hotel, you may see the marvelous decoration decor! Notice also the wedding souvenir, they save the earth by giving away the small plants for guests.
You should check the nite gown, it was Anne Avantie! Really wonderful detail.
Hope you love the pictures, congratulation once again Shela+Marvin!

We bet, many couple still dreaming Paris as their dream destination. Breathing morning air in Champ de Mars garden while staring at beautiful Eiffel Tower, sensing romance in every second when you see your loved one.
Last November, with humble couple, Yohan+Diana, we went to Paris for 2 days prewedding. I arrived one day earlier and worried about the weather, when I did the location survey, it was raining for few hours. The city temperature was so pleasant, hung around in the city with cardigan or thin jacket was a perfect combo. We stayed at Porte d'Orléans, imagine sipping a cup of coffee while watching all the Parisian walk.
We started the first day in Jardin du Palais Royal, while waiting for nite scene the legendary Louvre. We felt the first day was passed quickly, at night we headed to Porte d'Orléans, where we stayed. Next morning was started in Trocadero, a romantic spot for breathtaking Eiffel tower view. Unfortunately, weather wasn't friendly to us and we had to wait until raining stopped. Then, we continued the session around Eiffel tower and ended the day in Carousel set.
I still remember happy and amazed faces of Yohan+Diana, both together often threw chuckles in photo session, it was a great moment for us also.
We hope we will be back to Paris soon, a city full of passionate romance.
